What is Project 52 weeks?
On July the 29th 2009 I decided to set myself a challenge – I am sure to some this may sound weird and to some of you just plain odd, but I am going to challenge myself for the next 52 weeks to Train hard physically, Mentally and Spiritually for competing in the Mega Avalanche 2010 - a mass Endurance Downhill race over some of the toughest terrain the 33km course offers. It has been over 10 years since I have ridden a Downhill bike and competed in a Mountain Bike event, as I had previously broke my back in training in the summer of 1999! This is my journey of conquering the past, to being able to race at the Mega Avanche in July 2010.

Winter training - one weekend - 2 races!
just got home from a manic weekend of racing cyclocross and Downhill. Cyclocross was dull and uneventful and the downhill day which should have been a barrel of laughs was just crap - my rear caliper snapped off in my race run causing a nasty crash dislocating my shoulder and meaning my 2nd race run was done on the hardtail - check out the gallery for some pictures!
